Busiest time of year: Now. Winter garments customers meant to have repaired last spring are coming out of the closet.
Favorite part of job: Likes working alone so he can concentrate on his work, and enjoys view of sidewalk traffic from his shop window.
Ambition: “You want the customer to stay with you forever.”
Greatest frustration: Clothes are so inexpensive in the U.S. that many are reluctant to pay for properly done alterations. “This profession is under-appreciated.”
