Holiday Closures

The Thanksgiving holiday will affect the availability of many services in the Spokane area:

Schools: Most public schools closed Thursday and Friday.

Banks: Most branches closed Thursday but open Friday.

Mail: No delivery Thursday.

Government offices: Federal offices closed Thursday but open Friday. State, county and city offices closed Thursday and Friday.

Libraries: Spokane city and county branches closed Thursday but open Friday.

Parking meters: Free Thursday but must be fed Friday.

Buses: Spokane Transit Authority service will run on its Sunday schedule Thursday and be back on regular schedule Friday.

Garbage: No pickups Thursday. Thursday garbage will be picked up Friday, and Friday’s garbage will be picked up Saturday for customers of Valley Garbage, Spokane Regional Solid Waste Management and Western Refuse.
