Silver Mountain, Schweitzer Closed

Two North Idaho ski hills won’t be opening this weekend. Representatives from Silver Mountain and Schweitzer Mountain said snowfall isn’t enough to get the lifts running. Both hills are hoping to open next weekend.

Lookout Pass didn’t open on Friday, because of higher temperatures. Officials plan to open today.

On Friday, officials at 49 Degrees North in Chewelah, Wash., said the lifts would start operating today.
