Cable Offers Little New Programming
Cable television: a waste of money and time.
There are few things to watch on cable these days other than some sports and movies. And, even then, the same movies are repeated throughout the week, and a lot of them received atrocious ratings.
Flipping through a television guide, I counted on one channel M.A.S.H. plays 58 times in one week. Another channel replays all of the old shows from ABC and CBS. The same six movies were repeated throughout the week.
Then came sports. Cartoons. Sports. Cartoons.
There are very few new shows on to warrant having so many channels. So why do we bother?
I think people are just too lazy these days to do something outside. Instead, they spend good money on drivel.
Why? I think I have the answer.
Sources say many want channel surfing to become a sport. Olympic officials, responding to bribes of free cable and nachos, are going along. This means that hang 10 will have a whole new meaning - grabbing 10 food items from the fridge and sitting back down before the commercials end.
Why not cut the cable and save the money for designer clothes. Then you can go show off that FUBU hat and Ralph Lauren shirt outside.
