Locke To Attend Rally In Pullman

Gov. Gary Locke will be the keynote speaker at a higher education rally in Pullman today on the Washington State University campus.

Locke also plans to visit Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Inc. for a tour of the rapidly growing company’s manufacturing process, as well as the new facility currently under construction. Locke will also meet with SEL President Ed Schweitzer and his management team. Between 1-2 p.m., Locke will attend the Glenn Terrell Mall rally, which is a campaign event for Democrat Mike Connelly.

Connelly is battling Colfax Republican Don Cox for a crucial 9th district state representative seat that will determine political control of the Legislature.

The rally is being sponsored by the College Democrats of WSU, the Washington Student Lobby and the Whitman County Democrats.
