Stocks Bounce Back From Ibm Warning

Stocks wobbled to a mixed finish on Wall Street Thursday, rebounding from steep losses wrought by IBM’s warning that worries about the Year 2000 computer bug are hurting hardware sales.

The Dow Jones industrial average ended with a loss of 94.67.

Soybean futures plummeted to their lowest closing level in a month Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade as rain brought much-needed moisture to parched growing areas of Brazil.
