FROM FOR THE RECORD (Friday, October 29, 1999): Correction Scorecard wrong: Comedian Jonathan Winters was awarded this year’s Mark Twain Prize for humor, sponsored by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A Scorecard item on Page Two of the Oct. 23 edition of The Spokesman-Review was in error.

Robin Williams, here in his starring role in Disney’s “Flubber”, was recently honored with the Mark Twain Prize. The award is sponsored by the Kennedy Center recognizing “those who create humor from their uniquely American experience.” Williams received the honor at the Kennedy Center Annual Celebration of American Humor.
