New teams: LaCrosse-Washtucna officially joins league after being B-11 size and playing down last two years.

Returning all-league players: Adam Sumpter, QB-LB, Touchet; Ben Moehrle, RB, Colton; Seth Piper, OL-DL, Prescott; Blake Wolf, DB, Colton; Sean Shaffer, jr., DB, Colton. (Seniors unless noted.)

Look back: Touchet won the state title after beating Columbia in the semifinals, becoming 14th undefeat B-8 champion.

Outlook: Touchet is the team to beat until proven otherwise… . LW went through a lot of outstanding players the last two years with no chance for postseason play.

INSIDE THE HUDDLE Two teams make playoffs. L-W was in the playoffs six straight years before being ineligible the last two. Colton is 4-0 in B-11 title games, 0-2 in B-8. Kahlotus’ only playoff appearance was in 1987; Prescott’s last appearance was 1978. Touchet has been in five title games, winning three.
