New teams: LaCrosse-Washtucna officially joins league after being B-11 size and playing down last two years.

Look back: Touchet won the state title after beating Columbia in the semifinals, becoming 14th undefeat B-8 champion.

Outlook: Touchet is the team to beat until proven otherwise… . LW went through a lot of outstanding players the last two years with no chance for postseason play.

Kahlotus’ only playoff appearance was in 1987; Prescott’s last appearance was 1978. Touchet has been in five title games, winning three.
