Boeing Beats Lockheed On Spy Satellite Contract
Boeing Co. said it won a contract to build spy satellites for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office, taking the business away from rival Lockheed Martin Corp.
Analysts estimated the value of the 10-year contract at $4.5 billion. The NRO, which operates satellites for the Central Intelligence Agency and other government branches, said the value is classified. Boeing’s team included Hughes Electronics Corp., Raytheon Co., Eastman Kodak Co. and Harris Corp.
