Cougars are everywhere in Pullman, but usually the ones seen in this town are made of brass, bronze, concrete or flesh.

But the Pullman Police Department said Thursday they received a report of an actual cougar on Military Hill. The person who called animal control said he had seen cougars before in Colorado and believed he saw one near Sunrise Drive this week.

Despite only one reported sighting, police notified Fish and Game officials and warned residents in the neighborhood to keep their pets inside at night and watch their children after dark.
