Venture Data To Open In Spokane

A market research company based in Salt Lake City plans to start a Spokane operation that is expected to employ 160 in six to eight months.

Staff at Venture Data, a 5-yearold company that also runs an office in Eugene, Ore., deferred inquiries to general manager Jeff Call, who was not available for comment Thursday.

The company already has office space at 1126 N. Monroe. It plans to open Sept. 27 with 30 employees, according to the Spokane Area Economic Development Council.

Many of the telephone research jobs Venture Data will need to fill are part time with flexible hours.

In a statement, EDC President Mark Turner said Venture Data is a great example of a company recognizing the competitive advantages Spokane’s qualified, available student work force offers.
