Here it is: the long awaited follow to WWF Warzone. Game manufacturer Acclaim has done it again with WWF Attitude. It has taken everything great about Warzone, including the graphics, wrestler voices and announcers, and not only improved on those, but added many terrific things. These include an updated roster of 41 wrestlers (30 selectable, 11 hidden), loads of match options, such as First Blood and cage matches; the ever-popular create-a-wrestler mode; and an all new create-your-own pay-per-view mode.

Now, when trying for the world title, you no longer engage in a random ladder of matches. Instead, you move up the rankings in the career mode, where you play through a WWF season for the world title belt.

The wrestlers themselves are one of the biggest improvements. The game makers have captured them down to the last detail, such as the tattoo on Stone-Cold Steve Austin’s left leg and the Rock’s sideburns. The wrestlers also have complete entrances with pyrotechnics and theme music. To make it even better, the game has each wrestler’s finishing move and trademark from the Stone-Cold Stunner to the People’s Elbow.

All of these features combined with smooth game play, great graphics and hilarious two-man commentary from Shane McMahon and Jerry Lawler make this the wrestling game to beat for years to come.
