Basketball

Davis averaged 14.1 points and 6.6 rebounds for the Vikings, who finished third at last season’s State A-1 Tournament. She also played on the Spokane Stars U-17 and U-18 teams.
The 6-foot senior said she wanted to make her committment early so she could focus on her senior season.
“I really liked the coaches and players (at BSU),” Davis said.
Davis selected Boise State over Idaho, Eastern Washington, Washington State and San Francisco.
Golf
Eastern Washington’s Kylie Smith put together rounds of 78 and 73 to tie for second place at 151 in the Lumberjack Women’s Golf Invitational at Flagstaff, Ariz.
Despite Smith’s efforts, EWU finished in a tie with Portland State for 10th place in the 17-team event. Northern Arizona, the host school, claimed the title with a total of 629 with Louise Davis claiming individual honors with a final total of 148.
