Kodak Sells Image Collection
Millions of Kodak moments are going into a photo archive.
Getty Images Inc. of Seattle is spending $183 million on Eastman Kodak’s Image Bank collection - 30 million photographs and 15,000 hours of film footage.
“They’re photographs of pretty much every famous person or event of the 20th century,” said Jonathan Klein, co-founder and chief executive of Getty Images.
Getty Images owns the Hulton Getty collection, one of the most comprehensive historical photo archives in Europe.
