Sasquatch Settle For Tie

The Community Colleges of Spokane men’s soccer team must settle for close to perfect.

CCS tied Columbia Basin 1-1 Wednesday at Pasco in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges. The Sasquatch had outscored Northeast Division rivals 27-2 in blazing to a 4-0 record.

CCS tied the match on a Sergio Peralis goal midway through the second half. The Sasquatch hit the post with two second-half shots.

Columbia Basin (2-0-1) had shut out both of its previous opponents.

Women’s soccer

Also at Pasco, Hillary Harnasch scored at 4 minutes and Columbia Basin (2-0) defeated CCS 2-0 to retain the lead in the Northeast Division.

CCS (1-1-1) hasn’t allowed a goal in league play.

Volleyball

CCS defeated Yakima Valley 3-1 at Spokane Falls Community College.

The Sasquatch are 2-1 in the Eastern Division, tied for second place with Big Bend and trailing Columbia Basin (3-0). YVCC is 1-2.
