Man Assaulted On North Side

From Staff

A man was cut several times when he encountered several males on North Division and Sanson about midnight Tuesday, according to Spokane Police.

The victim told police he was driving alone, and that the men were making gestures and he drove away.

The victim, 33, said he went to his nephew’s house and the two of them went back to the area and encountered the men.

The victim said he left his car and asked one of the men what his problem was. The man responded by asking if he had a gun, and when the victim said he did not, the man pulled out a folding knife and cut the victim’s left ear several times.

The assailant and his friend then fled the area.

The assailant was described as a Hispanic male, 17 to 19 years old, about 5-foot-10, 140 pounds, with black hair and a thin mustache.

He was driving a 1990 gold Mazda 626 four-door.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the car is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
