Environmental Agency Honors Educator
An environmental educator from Spokane was honored by the Environmental Education Association of Washington at its annual conference in Port Angeles, Wash.
Robert Olson, a self-employed educator and contractor, received the President’s Award for guiding the organization into the computer era. Olson is credited with improving communications within the association using the Internet. His redesign of the Web site was called innovative and user-friendly by the association.
The Environmental Education Association is a professional organization of teachers, agency staff, business representatives and community educators. The group’s mission is to offer and promote effective environmental education to all sectors of the state.
