A Supreme Web Site

The Supreme Court is going online, opening a Web site April 17 to provide same-day access to its decisions, argument calendars and other information, such as visitor guides. The site - at www.supremecourtus.gov - will include photos of the court building but not of the justices. At least one justice may not use the new Web site any time soon. “You are talking with a Luddite when you’re talking with me,” David Souter told a House panel last month. “I am a computer illiterate.” Another site - http://oyez.nwu.edu - already provides texts and analyses of past years’ court rulings, photos and biographies of the justices, and a “virtual tour” of the court building.
