Idaho Independent Adding Branch

From Staff

Idaho Independent Bank is adding a new branch in southern Idaho.

The Coeur d’Alene-based bank will buy the Mountain Home branch of Washington Federal Savings, the two banks announced.

The sale will include real estate, equipment and approximately $9.5 million in deposits. All five employees will have the opportunity to stay on, said Jack Gustavel, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Idaho Independent Bank.

Mountain Home is a natural extension of the bank’s four existing branches in the greater Boise area, he said, and fits Idaho Independent’s strategy to be “The Idaho Bank.”

Idaho Independent Bank was established in 1993. It has six locations in Idaho, including Coeur d’Alene and Hayden.
