Girl Improving After Boating Accident

From Staff

A 16-year-old Tenino girl pinned underwater for more than 45 minutes in a weekend boating accident remained in critical condition Tuesday but continues to show improvement.

Carly Boohm opened her eyes and pointed to her father, Phil Boohm, in response to a neurologist’s questions, said her mother, Barbara Boohm.

Carly Boohm was a passenger in a canoe with two other people on Saturday when the boat capsized on the swift-flowing Wenatchee River under Sleepy Hollow Bridge.
