Canfield Band Plans Fund-Raising Dinner

Canfield Middle School is having a fund-raiser to earn money for new band equipment and instruments.

The needed instruments (including a timpani, baritone and tuba) will cost more than $10,000.

The fund-raiser is from 6 to 9 p.m. May 12 at North Idaho College’s student union building.

A dinner of gumbo and jambalaya prepared by NIC chefs will be served by band students. Canfield’s jazz choir will entertain.

After dinner, there will be dancing to the music of the school’s jazz band.

Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at Burt’s Music or the school.
