Gap Stores Announce Start Date

As reported in January, Gap Kids and babyGap will be opening stores at River Park Square in downtown Spokane.

On Wednesday, mall developers announced that the two new stores will open in mid-July on the mall’s third level, just above sister stores The Gap and GapBody.

Gap Kids and babyGap will occupy 4,500 square feet of space, selling infants’ and children’s clothing and accessories. Gap Kids already operates a store at NorthTown Mall.

Another Gap Inc. store, Banana Republic, is also scheduled to open at River Park Square later this year.

On Thursday, the final steel roof panel was installed over the second phase of the mall. With the steel framework complete, construction will now begin on the interior.
