New faces:
Moss Adams LLP has hired Joel Fulton as an information technology specialist. Fulton’s duties include technology planning and Internet security, primarily for financial institutions. Fulton is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a Master Certified Novell Engineer for NetWare 5, IntranetWare and NetWare 3.12. He previously owned a professional computer services company in Spokane for four years. Earlier, he worked as an instructor at New Horizons Learning Center and also was a network support specialist for Spokane Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic PS.
Kambiz Daemi has joined Washington Mutual Bank’s Spokane home loan center as a loan consultant. He has more than 10 years of banking experience and was formerly an underwriter with Spokane Railway Credit Union.
Cynthia Fine has joined the staff of Glen A. Cloninger & Associates as special projects coordinator. Her responsibilities include working as a liaison to organizations and businesses, as well as architectural marketing and writing. Fine, who is a graduate of Eastern Washington University’s journalism program, has worked in writing and marketing positions in Spokane for many years.

Dr. Richard P. Paczynski has joined Rockwood Clinic in the practice of neurology. A 1989 graduate of Mayo Medical School, he completed an internship at Jewish Hospital of St. Louis in 1990 and a residency at Barnes Hospital in 1993. He also completed a fellowship at Barnes Hospital in 1996.
Dr. Sanjiv M. Panwala joined Group Health Cooperative in the practice of internal medicine. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1993 and completed an internship and residency at the University of Washington in 1996.
Dr. Marc H. Paul has joined Spokane Radiology Consultants P.S. in the practice of radiology. A 1983 graduate of the University of Maryland, he completed an internship and residency at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in 1986. He completed an additional residency at the Humana Hospital in 1990 and a fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in 1991.
Dr. Andrew M. Veit has joined Anesthesia Associates P.S. as an anesthesiologist. He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1992, completed an internship at Swedish Hospital in 1993 and a residency at the University of Colorado in 1996. He also completed a fellowship at The Children’s Hospital in 1997.
Dr. David L. Watling has joined Anesthesiology Associates P.S. in the practice of anesthesiology. He is a 1988 graduate of the University of Washington. He completed an internship there in 1990 and a residency in 1995, also at the University of Washington.
Heart Clinics Northwest has hired Kathy A. Gray as a certified physician assistant. She graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 1999.
Dr. Ronda M. Beckner has joined Family Health Center of Spokane P.S. in the practice of family medicine. She graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1996 and completed an internship and residency at Family Medicine Spokane in 1999.
Dr. Darin L. Wright has joined Spokane Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic in the practice of otolaryngology. A 1991 graduate of the University of California, San Diego, he completed an internship and residency at State University of New York in 1996.
Dennis Downer, president of Intermountain Orient Inc. of Boise, has joined the board of directors of Coeur d’Alene-based Mountain West Bank. Downer, who is a University of Idaho graduate, has been involved in a number of other businesses in the wood products industry for more than 30 years. He also serves on the board of directors for Idaho’s Youth Ranch and is a business adviser to the Temperate Forest Foundation.
Moving up:
Mountain West Bank of Coeur d’Alene has promoted Patsy Morton to assistant vice president, residential real estate. She is the bank’s real estate assistant manager and underwriter. Morton, who has 21 years of banking experience, has been with Mountain West since it began operations in 1993.
Starting up:
Stanley D. Moore has established the firm of Stan Moore & Associates and will limit his practice to mediation, arbitration and dispute resolution consulting services. Moore retired as a principal of Winston & Cashatt on Jan. 1 after 30 years as a lawyer specializing in plaintiffs’ and defense civil litigation. Moore is a certified mediator of the Idaho and Washington Mediation Associations and has been a court qualified arbitrator since 1985. He is a graduate of Gonzaga University Law School and has received mediation training from the University of Washington and Pepperdine University. His office is located at 844 W. The local office of the American Cancer Society is moving to a new, larger office on Monday. The renovated building at 1403 W. Third will accommodate new employees, as well as expanded projects and programs. The new office will have two conference rooms, which will be utilized for planning sessions and volunteer meetings and workshops.
