River Park Square Gets A New Tenant
The latest addition to River Park Square’s tenant lineup will enable fashion-conscious kids and pre-teens to buy the same clothes as all the hip, big kids.
Abercrombie & Fitch, a popular retailer among the teen and early-20s set, will be opening its “abercrombie” kids store down the hall from its traditional store. The abercrombie store will sell clothes geared toward children 7-14 years old. The store is scheduled to open in early November.
The 4,000-square-foot store will be located on the downtown mall’s second level near the Kress Building skywalk. Clothing carried by the store is similar in style to the preppie, casual fashions sold at its older-age counterpart Abercrombie & Fitch.
Abercrombie & Fitch, which opens its River Park Square shop on Sept. 28, owned 275 stores nationwide at the end of June, including 44 abercrombie stores. Chain revenues for the first four months of this year were $206.6 million.
The crane used to construct River Park Square’s second phase has been removed and Main Street will be cleaned up in front of the project and opened within the next three weeks. The Sawtooth Grill opens at the mall on Thursday and Pottery Barn is scheduled to open on Aug. 19.
