Man Charged With Felony In Beating
A 24-year-old man was bloodied in a brawl early Saturday morning after his companion made a snide comment to another man urinating on the sidewalk in downtown Spokane, Spokane police said.
The couple, whom police are not identifying, left Moon’s Mongolian Grill at Main and Stevens streets about 2 a.m.
They passed Adam B. Jarrad going to the bathroom on the sidewalk, police said.
The woman remarked, “That’s attractive.”
Jarrad knocked her escort to the ground, started hitting him, stomped on his head three times, and kicked his head into the curb, witnesses told police.
When those witnesses approached Jarrad, he fled, police said.
A officer spotted Jarrad running near Bernard and Sprague, stopped him and noticed blood on his clothing. He was arrested and booked into the county jail on a felony second-degree assault charge.
The victim was treated at a local hospital and released.
