Five years ago: Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols were charged with 11 counts in the Oklahoma City bombing.

One year ago: A gunman opened fire at a Jewish community center in Los Angeles, wounding five; hours later, a gunman killed letter carrier Joseph Ileto; a suspect, white supremacist Buford O. Furrow, faces charges in both shootings.
