Herman Wagner Beaverton, Ore.
Memorial service for Herman F. Wagner, 81, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash. Inurnment with military honors will follow at the Reardan (Wash.) Cemetery.
Mr. Wagner, who was born in Spokane, died Wednesday.
He graduated from Reardan High School.
In 1937 he was the grand marshall in the Reardan Community Parade.
During World War II he served in the Army Air Corps, and later worked as an automobile mechanic in Reardan.
He recently moved to Beaverton to be close to his daughter.
He was a member of Reardan Presbyterian Church, American Legion in Aloha, Ore., El Katif Shrine and the Scottish Rite Bodies. He was a past president of the Reardan Lion Club, past master of the Masonic Lodge, past patron of the Order of Eastern Star and past commander of the Reardan American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; a daughter, Geraldine Wagner of Beaverton; two stepsons, Richard and Patrick McCoy, both of Spokane; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Avis Honeycutt Spokane
Memorial service for Avis H. Honeycutt, 66, will be at 10 a.m. today at Driscoll Blvd. Baptist Church. Inurnment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Honeycutt died Wednesday.
She graduated from Northwest Christian in 1953 and received a degree in cosmetology from Mr. Robert’s in Tacoma.
In 1955 she married Harlan Honeycutt.
Mrs. Honeycutt worked as a beautician from 1972 to 1997, retiring from Hair Care Center.
She was a member of Driscoll Blvd. Baptist Church.
Her husband died in 1987.
Survivors include two sons, James and Richard Honeycutt, both of Spokane; a daughter, Mary Meggs of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Bill Geistwhite, and a sister, Audrey Cochrane, both of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
Larry Beach Spokane
Memorial service for Larry B. Beach, 60, was held Sunday at the Jesuit House Chapel. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Beach died Wednesday.
He worked as an electrician for the Burlington Railroad for 36 years, and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include two sons, Dan Beach of San Diego and Brian Beach of New York; a sister, Beverly Hoff of Spokane; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Evelyn Jones Hope, Idaho
Service for Evelyn Rose Jones, 93, will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Clark Fork Seventh-day Adventist Church. Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jones, who was born in Seattle, died Wednesday.
She grew up and attended schools in Auburn, Wash., and married Clarence Sleeter in 1929. The couple later divorced.
Mrs. Jones lived in Seattle, Wapato, Wash., and Walla Walla, before marrying William “Bill” Jones in 1973 and moving to Hope.
She was a member of Clark Fork Seventh-day Adventist Church and enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Tucker of Sandpoint; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arlie Phillips Sandpoint
Private service for Arlie Harriet Phillips, 84, will be held. Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Phillips, who was born in Hailey, Idaho, died Wednesday.
She married Charles Phillips in 1944 and traveled extensively as a military bride in the United States and Europe.
She settled in the Sandpoint area in the early 1970s and was a retired civil service employee.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Mountain Home, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Phyllis Bronson Rathdrum, Idaho
Memorial gathering for Phyllis E. Bronson, 72, will be today at 5 p.m. at the Bronson Home at 325 W. Brunner Road.
Mrs. Bronson, who was born in Lyman, Wyo., died Wednesday.
She lived in Wyoming before settling in Tombstone, Ariz., in the 1980s. She moved to Rathdrum in 1999.
Her husband, Jake, died in 1996.
Survivors include three sons, Jake, Craig and Clay Bronson, all of Rathdrum; two daughters, Kitty Pavey and Teena McDonald, both of Douglas, Wyo.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Laurence Mattila Spokane
Memorial service for Laurence R. Mattila, 89, was held Sunday in the Sunset Mausoleum at Fairmount Memorial Park. Riplinger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mattila, who was born in Mansfield, Mich., died Thursday.
He was a Spokane resident for more than 50 years.
Mr. Mattila served in the Army during World War II and worked as a warehouseman for Diamond International.
His wife, June, died in 1998.
Survivors include a son, Albert Riedinger of Mead; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
