Two Diners Yell, Then Fight In Restaurant On Third Avenue

An argument at Frankie Doodle’s Restaurant on Third Avenue turned into a food fight, then ended in a scuffle with police last Wednesday, police said.

Spokane police responded to a call from the restaurant manager and found a crowd of people surrounding two men who were fighting about 2:30 a.m. The men were identified by police as David P. Marks, 31, 3155 E. 19th, and Tommie S. Marks, 35, 9405 E. Broadway.

Witnesses told police the incident started inside the restaurant when the men started yelling. One then jumped up and overturned the table. Food and dishes were thrown and witnesses said David Marks was struck in the face by Tommie Marks.

When police attempted to handcuff David Marks, he fought with the officer, police spokesman Dick Cottam said. David Marks was booked into jail on charges of assault and resisting arrest. Tommie Marks was booked on an assault charge.
