Cab Driver Beaten, Robbed, Police Say

Two men beat and robbed a cab driver at gunpoint at about 3 a.m. Friday on Indian Trail Road, authorities said.

The victim told police that one of his passengers held a gun to his head and the other choked him and hit him in the head with a metal pipe, then they ran away with his wallet.

A police statement described one suspect as white, age 17 to 19, 5-feet-9 and 150 pounds. He had short dark hair. The other man was black, also 17 to 19, about 5-feet-6 and 150 pounds. He wore a loop earring in one ear.
