Property Inventory Books Available

From Staff

Spokane police are making a property-inventory book available to residents who want to keep track of their possessions in case they are burglarized.

The booklets can be picked up at Spokane police COPS stations around the city.

“It’s a great opportunity for citizens to document personal belongings,” Capt. Jim Nicks said.

The booklet has space for items like jewelry, electronics and furniture.

In the event of a burglary, the list can be turned over to Spokane police, who will attempt to match missing possessions with ones that are recovered. The books also are useful in cataloging possessions in the event of a home fire.
