NEW FACES:

Coeur d’Alene-based Studio H Advertising & Design has hired Charles Fernandes as an account representative and copywriter. Fernandes previously worked as a journalist for the North Idaho News Network for 6 years, the last two as business editor of the Coeur d’Alene Press and North Idaho Business Journal.

The following people have joined Keller Williams Realty Spokane as owner/Realtors:

Frank and Terry Young formerly were with Prudential Crane Real Estate. They have been in real estate as a husband and wife team since 1996. Terry Young has been active in the industry for more than 24 years and is a licensed broker.

Vincent Miesen, previously with Coldwell Banker, has been in real estate since 1999. He holds the ABR (accredited buyer representative) designation.

Carole Anderson has been in real estate since 1992, most recently with Janek Co. Anderson, who is licensed in both Washington and Idaho, holds the ABR (accredited buyer representative), CRS (certified residential specialist) and GRI (graduate Realtor Institute) designations.

Jason Peterson has joined DCI Engineers Inc. of Spokane as a structural CAD (computer assisted design) designer.

The Eastern Washington University Foundation has appointed the following people to its board of directors for three-year terms, beginning July 1:

Jim Edmonds, Cheney, was a member of the music faculty at Eastern from 1962 to 1987. An accomplished pianist, he is past president of the Washington State Music Teachers Association.

Bernie Loposer of Spokane is a former executive director of the EWU Foundation. Now retired, he has extensive experience in higher education nonprofit administration.

Tom Sawatzki, Walla Walla, earned a bachelor’s degree in general business from EWU in 1983. He is president, co-founder and owner of Highspeed.com in Walla Walla.

Steve Dahlstrom, a Spokane resident, earned an MBA from Eastern in 1994. He is president of the Spokane Teachers Credit Union.

Sue Pittman, of Davenport, is president and CEO of Wheatland Bank. Pittman, who attended Eastern for two years, is a graduate of Washington State University.

Jack Fallis of Spokane earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from EWU in 1989. He is executive vice president of Global Federal Credit Union and past president of the EWU Alumni Association.

Mike Taylor of Spokane is the owner of Taylor Engineering. He is the father of a current Eastern student and past chair of the Spokane Area Economic Development Council.

MOVING UP:

Shelly Croswhite has been promoted to art director for Studio H Advertising & Design in Coeur d’Alene. Croswhite joined the agency in February 1999 as a graphic artist. She earned an associate’s degree in graphic design from Spokane Falls Community College and then completed a four-month internship at NBC headquarters in New York City, where she worked as a graphic artist in the print advertising department. Since joining Studio H, Croswhite won a 2000 Addy Award from the Spokane Advertising Federation for her design work.

David Lyngholm of Electric City, Wash., has been named manager of the Bureau of Reclamation’s Grand Coulee Dam and Power Office. His responsibilities include such highly visible issues as water releases for downstream fish. Lyngholm, who has been deputy manager of the Grand Coulee Power Office since 1997, was named acting manager in June when Steve Clark retired. Lyngholm earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in 1965 and joined the Bureau of Reclamation shortly thereafter. He rejoined the bureau after service in the Army during the Vietman war and held several positions before transferring to Grand Coulee as chief of the maintenance division in 1982.

The Credit and Financial Development Division, Spokane Chapter, of the National Association of Credit Management-Inland Northwest, has elected the following officers for 2000-2001: President, Shari Mills, EM Space; president-elect, Kay Havens, System TWT; vice president, Sue White, Dupree Building Specialties; treasurer, Jennifer Walsh, Washington Trust Bank; secretary, Karrie Thomas, Glacier Wholesale Florist; and members at large, Anita Martinez, Potlatch Corp., and Charlotte Tobin, Multi-Fab-Sbi Inc.
