Analysis

Forget the Seahawks. I need a win. After starting the season 10-0 picking Seahawks’ games, I’ve fumbled the last two weeks. So I’ve put in extra time scrutinizing this matchup, which, contrary to some reports, isn’t the most hideous of the NFL weekend, not as long as Arizona travels to Cincinnati. The key here isn’t so much what’s happening to the Seahawks. They’ve proven they’re not very good, but at least they haven’t waived the white flag. The key is Atlanta is a mess. The Falcons haven’t scored 20 points in a game the last six weeks. Undrafted rookie quarterback Doug Johnson is making his first start on an offense ranked 30th in the NFL. Seattle’s defense is porous, but it should be able to keep these guys in check. Seahawks 21, Falcons 17.
