The Spokane Parks and Recreation Department takes care of details such as fees and transportation on several group cross-country ski trips this month to a new Inland Northwest location each week beginning today through February.

But some of the most popular of the parks nordic ski trips are the night-time skiing and dinner tours that coincide with weekends closest to full moon phases.

The first Moonlight XC Ski and Dinner of the season is Dec. 9. Incidentally, full moons this ski season occur on Dec. 11, Jan. 9, Feb. 8 and March 9.
