Police Arrest Suspect In Attempted Rape
A suspect has been arrested in an attempted rape and kidnapping early Saturday in St. Maries.
Benewah County sheriff’s officials would not release any information about the person arrested.
A friend of the St. Maries woman who reportedly fought off her attacker said Saturday that the woman is unhurt, although shaken.
The attack began, the woman’s friend said, when a man asked if he could use the restroom at the woman’s business and she let him in. She escaped by hitting him on the head with a coffee cup.
