Alaska’s three major North Slope natural gas producers announced a joint agreement Wednesday to build a pipeline to deliver gas to Canada and the Lower 48 states. Costs and management will be shared equally among the three producers, BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc., Phillips Alaska and Exxon Mobil Corp. Costs and scope of the operation’s first phase are still being determined.

Drkoop.com, the health Web site co-founded by former U.S. Surgeon General C. Everett Koop, is scrambling to keep from losing its listing on the Nasdaq Stock Market. The company has received a notice from Nasdaq that it is close to being delisted because its stock price has been below $1 for 30 trading days.

IBP Inc. has agreed to enter merger talks with Tyson Foods Inc., which has made a $2.8 billion offer to acquire IBP, the country’s largest beef producer and second-largest pork producer.
