Sprague To Close For I-90 Bridge Work

Sprague Avenue will be closed under the Interstate 90 overpass in the Spokane Valley this weekend when two of the three I-90 bridges that cross the road will be removed, the state Transportation Department reported.

The section of Sprague will close at 7 p.m. Friday and reopen 6 a.m. Monday.

Traffic will be rerouted on Fancher Way, Broadway Avenue and Thierman Street, but the department warns that congestion is possible.

Traffic on I-90 will not be affected, and all businesses are expected to remain open during the detour.
