Inktomi shares climbed $12.50 to $34.44 on Tuesday. The firm won a contract with a satellite company looking to provide high-speed Internet access via satellite. Inktomi closed Friday at $42. Friday was a landmark day for Specialty Laboratories, whose stock rose $7.31 to $23.31 on its first trading day on the New York Stock Exchange.
