Valley Couplet May Be Extended

The Valley couplet might eventually extend past where it now ends at University Road.

Sprague Avenue business owners east of University need to start voicing their opinions on how it should look, said Terry Lynch, a member of the Spokane Valley Business Association.

The business association has arranged a meeting with Spokane County engineers for Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. It will be held in the meeting room of the Spokane Valley Fire District’s Station No. 1, 10319 E. Sprague.

County engineers have said the next phase of the couplet, if it’s approved, would extend the new Appleway Boulevard to Evergreen.

“Anybody in business out that way needs to come and put their two cents on the table,” said Lynch.
