Home sales in Kootenai County dropped slightly during the first 11 months of the year.

A total of 1,451 homes on residential lots changed hands through November, a 1.2 percent drop from the same period last year. However, the average sales price increased from $117,167 to $118,936.

Hayden and Hayden Lake led area homes with an average sales price of $143,358. Homes in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls sold for an average of $116,719 and $114,304, respectively. The average sales price in Rathdrum-Hauser area was $98,932.

In Shoshone County, the average sales price was $70,997. Waterfront homes, on the other hand, averaged $272,658.
