Reward Offered In Woman’S Disappearance

From Staff

Family and friends of a missing Stanwood woman are offering a $20,000 reward for clues to her disappearance this month.

Sharon Christine Anderson, a state Department of Social and Health Services case worker, vanished Dec. 2, on her way from her Stanwood home to the Everett Mall.

She was expected home by early afternoon.

Despite daily search efforts and scattered sightings of a woman who matches Anderson’s description, Everett police Sgt. Boyd Bryant declined to say whether investigators have turned up any solid leads.

“All I can say is the investigation continues,” he said Monday evening.

Anderson’s pickup - locked and seemingly undisturbed - was found parked outside Mervyn’s at the mall the night she disappeared.

Although her disappearance is suspicious, police said there is no reason to believe Anderson is a victim of foul play.
