Suspect Arrested In Woman’S Death

A 19-year-old man was arrested Monday in the stabbing and shooting death of a woman in a rural neighborhood between Everett and Marysville.

The 37-year-old woman, whose name was not released Monday, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and multiple stab wounds.

Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies answered a call and found her lying on her front porch Monday morning, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen.

The woman died after being flown to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center.

Neighbors said they heard a disturbance at the woman’s house and saw a man fleeing the scene.

The man arrested was said to be visiting one of the victim’s neighbors at the time.
