Schroeder, Triplett Guide Ccs To Victory

Daniela Schroeder scored 17 points and pulled down 11 rebounds and Rebecca Triplett added 18 points and seven rebounds Friday to spark the Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch (5-3) to a 76-68 women’s basketball victory over the Southwestern Oregon Lakers in the Walla Walla Crossover Tournament.

Corynne Murray paced the Lakers with 18 points.

Former Lakeside High star Brianne Jolley scored a game-high 27 points to propel the Lewis-Clark State Warriors to a non-conference win over the host Vandals.

Wilbur-Creston grad Alyssa Erickson added 19 points, while Ritzville’s Shannon Russel scored 11 for the Warriors (10-1).

Laura Bloom paced Idaho (3-8) with 23 points.
