Savalli Takes Over As Section Editor
Beginning in January, Carla Savalli will be the new Business Editor for The Spokesman-Review.
Savalli is a Spokane native who attended Ferris High School and earned a Communication Arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma.
She worked as a reporter in Tacoma and news editor in Moscow, Idaho, and Las Vegas before joining the Review in 1992 as a copy editor. She has been night assistant city editor since 1997.
“We have a talented staff of business reporters and editors, and I’m looking forward to working with them,” Savalli said.
“In the coming year, we’re going to concentrate on making the Review the best source for local business news in our region,” she said.
“We’ll also work to make national and international business news relevant to our daily lives. Along the way, I hope we can attract new readers, surprise our regular supporters and have a little fun.”
