Search Scaled Back For Missing Man
Park rangers have scaled back a search for a Spokane man who has been missing since Dec. 13.
Patrick J. Holst, 48, left suicide notes before disappearing, one of his friends said.
His car was found at Hawk Creek on Lake Roosevelt in Lincoln County on Dec. 14. However, search crews were not able to locate Holst after looking for several days.
“Right now, we have no reason to suspect anything other than suicide,” National Park Service Ranger Mark Arsenault said.
He added that a tracking dog was used, but poor weather has hindered searching efforts.
Lori Zarco, a friend of Holst’s, said, “We just want to know if he is OK or if anyone has seen him.”
