Police Arrest Three In Robbery Spree Guns Found In Van That Allegedly Pulled Up To Pedestrians
Three males were arrested Tuesday afternoon in north Spokane and are accused of robbing pedestrians at gunpoint, said Spokane Police Sgt. Alan Arnzen.
Police were called to two separate incidents near Rogers High School, where gunmen pulled up to pedestrians in a gold Dodge Caravan about 2:30 p.m.
The robbers took clothing, jewelry and cash, Arnzen said.
One of the victims reported the license plate number to police, who later saw the vehicle at a Texaco station at Bridgeport Avenue and Nevada Street.
When the 1990 minivan left the Texaco station, police pulled it over in the 900 block of East Liberty Avenue without further incident, Arnzen said.
There were five occupants in the vehicle; three were identified as suspects by the victims, Arnzen said. The other two were released.
Two of those arrested were juveniles.
Police found a fully-loaded shotgun and revolver in the van.
The three also are suspected of a similar robbery about 6 p.m. Monday near the Spokane County courthouse, Arnzen said.
