Seattle Robberies Might Be Related

From Staff

Police are warning people about a series of armed robberies that might be related.

The Seattle Police Department is investigating three “take-over” robberies in which the suspects - wearing stocking caps, bandanas, gloves and dark, baggy clothing - reportedly burst into stores, announced, “This is a robbery,” pointed 9 mm weapons at employees and customers, then took various items.

One robbery hit a music store in Seattle’s University District on Nov. 28, police said. Another took place at a camera shop on Northgate Way Dec. 21; a third was reported two days later at a Washington State Liquor store in the Ballard neighborhood.

No injuries have been reported.

Investigators are looking into possible connections between the three Seattle robberies and recent stickups at a stereo store in Burien and a camera store in Tacoma.
