Tipper Gore Plans Campaign Visit Here

Tipper Gore, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Al Gore, will campaign in Spokane on Feb. 21.

Gore will attend an 8 a.m. breakfast at the Ridpath Hotel, Democratic County Chairman Ken Pelo said Tuesday. Further details on the breakfast will be available later this week by calling the county headquarters, 324-8525.

An Associated Press story in Tuesday’s Spokesman-Review listed the wrong date for the breakfast.

Tipper Gore’s visit is one of several trips by presidential candidates and spouses in advance of the Feb. 29 primary and March 7 precinct caucuses.
