Deadline Today For Redistricting Plans
Today is the last day Spokane residents can submit plans for districting.
In November, the city voted to elect City Council members from three geographical districts. The council will choose a districting plan from proposals submitted by the public.
Plans must include districts that are compact, contiguous and roughly equal in population.
Maps and guidelines can be picked up at City Hall or library branches, and proposals can be dropped off at the same locations.
