Armed Men Hold Up North Division Motel

Police are looking for two men who allegedly robbed a clerk at the Best Western Trade Winds Motel at about 9 p.m. Friday night.

The two suspects, one white and one black, entered the motel lobby at 3303 N. Division, and one displayed a handgun, police said. He demanded the clerk show him the money drawer, and took some cash. The two men then fled.

The white man was in his 40s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds, and was wearing a blue sweat shirt. The black man was about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 220 pounds, and was wearing a stocking cap. He had a noticeably deep voice, police said.

Police later found some of the white suspect’s clothing in a yard in the 1000 block of West York.

Anyone with information on the identity of the two men is asked to call Crime Check, 456-2233.
