Bluebirds Spotted

Bluebirds, normally a harbinger of spring, apparently were pushing their luck last week.

Tim Durnell of Rice, Wash., reported seeing six Western bluebirds off a country road during a a morning walk near his home 20 miles south of Kettle Falls.

“This is the earliest I’ve ever seen bluebirds,” he said.
